  • Community Grant Program Guidelines

    Manningham Council has updated its Community Grant Program to ensure Manningham community organisations have improved access to funding and provide more flexibility to support innovative projects.

    Council is committed to developing and fostering partnerships with community groups and organisations that involve and benefit the Manningham community. The draft Community Grant Program Guidelines provides a framework outlining how Council will provide funding to eligible not-for-profit community organisations whose work in the Manningham area enriches the municipality and aligns with the outcomes Council is seeking to achieve.

  • Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre Redevelopment 2014

    In 2006 Council endorsed a Master Plan for the Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre, to guide the future planning and provision of aquatic and leisure services, programs and facilities at the Centre.

    The redevelopment of the Centre in Williamson’s Road Doncaster is now well underway, with stages 1 - 3A already completed.

    In August 2014, Council will commence the implementation of Stages 4 -6 of the Master Plan. The implementation will be a 20 month process and is expected to be completed by May 2016.

  • Tom Kelly Athletics Track at Rieschiecks Reserve

    The recommendation to name the athletics track at Rieschiecks Reserve, ‘Tom Kelly Athletics Track’ was adopted by Council at the meeting of Manningham City Council held 29 April 2014.  The motion to name the Reserve in honour of the memory of Tom Kelly was carried unanimously with the full support of all Councillors. A total of 46 submission were received including from all of the Rieschiecks Reserve tenant athletics clubs, Athletics Victoria and Tom Kelly’s family and the broader community in support of the request to name the track.

    Council will work with Doncaster Athletics Club and the Kelly family in the forthcoming months to determine when and how to best commemorate the newly named facility.
